Church in Warnemunde

This church is in the old section of the town of Warnemunde. It is just a short walk from the harbour. When we were there, an outdoor market was nearby. There are also many small shops in this part of the town.
The church was open. We went inside. This church is by no means famous, and there are thousands like it in Europe. However, I found it interesting that it had survived the Communist period of East Germany.
Later, when we went on a tour, our guide told us that her uncle had been the pastor of this church during the Communist period. Her family had remained Christian in spite of the intense pressure to abandon their faith.

Lighthouse

The all brick lighthouse in Warnemunde was built in 1897. I am not sure of the height. The values that I have read vary between 30 and 40 meters (100 to 135 ft). I am told that it is still in operation.
We enjoyed our walk out on the pier, and then a long stroll along the seashore. We were there on a Saturday, but few people were on the beach. Once we got into the shopping area, it was crowded.
